The first arrondissement, home to the Louvre Museum, the Comedie Française, the Tuileries Gardens, and some of the most exclusive homes, shops and restaurants in Paris, is a much sought-after address for business travelers and astute tourists alike. With its expansive fenêtres (windows) overlooking the beautiful Palais Royal, dating from the 17th century, this beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath apartment, containing approximately 915 square feet of living area, is the perfect Parisian "home base" in this most-desirable neighborhood.

The apartment is elegantly decorated in traditional European style, combining elements of French and Italian design. In keeping with its classically Parisian architecture, the apartment has large, arched floor-to ceiling windows facing out onto the Palais Royal gardens.

An interior hallway separates the large master bedroom (with a king bed and views over the gardens) and its adjacent shower room (with a toilet, shower and washbasin)from the rest of the apartment, providing extra privacy.

The second bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed. The second full shower room, with toilet, shower and washbasin, is conveniently located between the living areas and the second bedroom. Note that both bathrooms are equipped with showers, and there is no bathtub in the apartment.

The living area also features the gracefully arched windows with give this beautiful, light-filled apartment its name. Two comfortable sofas in the living area provide a cozy seating area during the day and comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to two additional guests. The dining area, with its traditional dining table and chairs, easily seats six.

The kitchen has been completely renovated and outfitted with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, oven, range, refrigerator/freezer, washer and dryer. Ample workspaces and a full compliment of small appliances, dishware and glasses make the kitchen perfect for preparing full meals or light snacks.

In addition to modern appointments and conveniences throughout the apartment, amenities include a computer with high-speed internet access (note that unfortunately, the internet system is not compatible with mac computers), an entertainment system including cable television (with BBC and CNN), DVD, CD and cassette players, air conditioning, microwave, coffee maker and juice maker, and the "extra" touches that will make you feel right at home---hair dryer, fluffy towels and bathrobes, quality linens, and fresh cut flowers and French wine upon arrival. 


The location is ideal for traveling on business or for pleasure. It is situated in the heart of central Paris, overlooking the historic Palais Royale gardens and just a short walk to the Louvre Museum, Place des Victoires, Place Vendome, the Seine, Place de la Concorde and the Tuilerie Gardens (home to the Orangerie museum, with its fabulous collection of Monet's Water Lilies. The neighborhood is also home to some of the finest shopping and gourmet dining venues in Paris. There are wonderful bistros, cafés, boulangeries and other food shops, as well as a full-service supermarket, close by.
