Le Passy

This wonderful apartment, consisting of approximately 700 square feet of living area, combines the best of traditional Parisian architecture and ambiance with all of the modern conveniences that sophisticated travelers insist upon. Located on the fifth floor (sixth floor, by American standards, with elevator access) of a stylish early 20th century, Haussmannian-style building, Le Passy offers guests the opportunity to experience life in one of our favorite neighborhoods in Paris. At night, you can see the lights at the top of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony off the living room...what a very Parisian view!

High ceilings, full-length windows, traditional parquet floors and the qunitessential Parisian elegance of an authentic fireplace with its carved marble fireplace create the elegant ambiance that defines a luxurious pied-a-terre in the City of Lights. Quality modern furnishings, including stylish leather seating and eclectic lighting fixtures, harmonize with the apartment's traditional architectural elements. The apartment is also equipped with cable television (with English language channels) and wireless, high speed internet access.

The contemporary kitchen has windows overlooking the neighboring buildings, providing natural light and ventilation. With its modern appliances, including an oven, range and dishwasher, the kitchen is compact, yet well-designed. Mosaic tile accents on the countertops and walls add an interesting touch. The apartment is also equipped with a washer/dryer unit.

The master bedroom features a queen sized bed, antique furnishings and floor-to-ceiling French windows. The fireplace, with its authentic marble mantle, provides the focal point of the room.

Two full-sized twin beds, which can be combined to create a second king-sized bed, in the second bedroom make the layout of the apartment perfect for either a couple traveling with two children, or for two couples traveling together. Quality lighting, floor to ceiling windows, and high ceilings create a light and airy ambiance in both bedrooms. As the living room sofa converts to a double bed, Le Passy can accommodate up to six guests (although we think it's perfect for four).

The modern bathroom, with its glass-enclosed "stall" shower, styllish washbasin and tile accents, is located between the two bedrooms. An independent toilet room is conveniently located between the living areas and bedrooms.

Although easily accessible by metro to all of the "sites" of Paris, Le Passy is located within a prestigious Right Bank residential neighborhood, away from the bustle of the more tourist-oriented districts, yet still within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and the Champs de Mars, which are just across the bridge. It is one of the safest, and yet most interesting, quartiers in Paris, and is home to some of the most savvy expatriots and native Parisians.

A wonderful market street, as well as an enclosed "les halles" enclosed food market and an upscale shopping mall are located just down the street from the apartment, making shopping easy and très agreable! There is a broad selection of restaurants, cafés, galleries and museums (including our newest "find," the Musée Marmottan Monet) within a short walk.
