La Terrace

This recently renovated and redecorated two bedroom apartmentwith two full baths offers guests extraordinary privacy and comfort, as well as one of Paris' most prestigious and convenient locations. With a peaceful interior courtyard, shaded by mature trees, on one side and a private terrace, equipped with a lovely teak dining table and chairs and surrounded by blooming plants, on the other, la Terrace is an oasis of privacy and tranquility in the heart of the City of Lights.

The living area in la Terrace, though not large, is open and well-designed, and tastefully combines elements of traditional Parisian ambiance, including gleaming wood floors, a marble fireplace mantle, and lovely crown moldings, with 21st century amenities, including a LCD flat screen television (with English-language satellite channel access, DVD player and VCR), a PC with high-speed internet connection, and a music system (with CD and DVD players).

The dining area, adjacent to the kitchen and salon, seats up to six. The living and dining areas open onto the private terrace, with its flower pots, greenery and seating for four at the teak dining table.

Although there are beautiful French windows and doors throughout the apartment to let in light and air, the apartment is also air conditioned to ensure comfort during even the hottest of Parisian summers.

The compact "galley" kitchen, with its sleek cabinetry and tiled floors and workspaces, is likewise fully equipped and appointed. with a multi-function oven/microwave unit, range and dishwasher small appliances and dishes, cookware and glasses. The nearby rue Cler market is the perfect spot for picking up fresh produce, cheese, wine and bakery items.

The "master" bedroom is furnished with a true king-sized bed and contemporary furnishings which compliment the apartment's traditional architectural elements. French windows allow in the bright sunlight and natural breezes. A desk fitted with a personal computer and DSL internet access ensures that vacationers and business travelers stay "connected" while in Paris. The second bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, which can be combined to create a second king bed or left separate. A beautiful fireplace, with antique marble mantle, continues the traditional Parisian ambiance of the apartment.

Although we believe the apartment is best suited for four, the comfortable sofa in the living room converts to a queen-sized bed to accommodate two additional guests (note that there is an additional charge for each person in excess of four).
he master bathroom features gleaming tiles, a contemporary washbasin, a bathtub fitted with a standing shower unit. A separate toilet room is adjacent to the master bath.

The second bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, which can be combined to create a second king bed or left separate. A beautiful fireplace, with antique marble mantle, continues the traditional Parisian ambiance of the apartment. Adjacent to the second bedroom is a second full bathroom, with decorative wall tiles, a modern washbasin, a glass-walled stall shower, and toilet.

The Champ de Mars park, at the base of the Eiffel Tower, is just a few minutes walk from the apartment, as are the Seine River, the chic Trocadero and Passy districts, the famous rue Cler pedestrian market street, and the Invalides. There are a number of cafés, restaurants and shops within a few blocks of La Terrace. The stylish shopping and dining district of St. Germain-des-Pres, the Musee d'Orsay and the Grand Palais are all within a 15 minute walk.

From the Ecole Militaire metro stop, a short walk from the apartment, guests can travel throughout Paris quickly and conveniently.
