Located on the third (American) floor (with elevator access) of an architecturally distinguished building, this lovely two bedroom, two bathroom apartment enjoys an extremely prestigious location adjacent to the historic 17th century Palais Royal and its famous fountain and gardens.

The open floor plan, expansive windows and high ceilings (accented by traditional mouldings) make the apartment seem even larger than its approximately 1,067 square feet of living area. Contemporary furnishings and accents are tastefully offset by the classically French architectural elements, including beautifully refinished parquet hardwood floors, marble fireplace mantles and wainscoating found throughout the apartment, which was completely renovated and redecorated in mid-2004 and features both central heating and air conditioning.

The main living area features a cozy seating area (the two sofas also convert to queen-size sleepers to accommodate up to four additional guests), with the antique fireplace as its focal point. For entertainment, the salon also features satellite TV (with English language channels), a CD, cassette and DVD player, and a computer with high-speed internet access (which, sadly, is incompatible with mac computers). The dining area separates the living room from the kitchen, and provides seating for eight. If you enjoy entertaining, even while abroad, you'll find inviting guests for dinner irresistible!

Each of the two bedrooms is furnished with a king-sized bed. The master bedroom also features a large dressing room/walk-in closet, and an ensuite bathroom with tub, shower, washbasin and toilet. The second bathroom, again, with tub, shower, washbasin and toilet, is easily accessible from the living areas.

The modern kitchen is fully-equipped, and includes a microwave, dishwasher, oven, range, refrigerator/freezer and washer/dryer, as well as an ample supply of dishes, glassware, pots, pans and small appliances.

The Palais Royal location is perfect for experiencing all of the sights, scenes and sensations of Paris. The Louvre, Place des Victoires, Place Vendome, the Seine, Place de la Concorde, the Tuilerie Gardens and much more are all within easy walking distance of the apartment, or catch the Metro from the nearby Palais Royal metro stop and travel to anywhere in Paris in just minutes.

Some of Paris' finest restaurants and shops are located in the first arrondissement, as are charming neighborhood cafes, food shops and a full-service supermarket, as well as a health club.
